History of Emmanuel Fellowship
Upon this Rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail!
Emmanuel Fellowship Church of God in Christ began weekly Tuesday night Bible studies in Siler City at the National Guard Armory under the direct leadership of Bishop Otis Lockett, Sr., in 1991.  Officiating the services were Minister Joseph Washington and founding members, Bro. Arnold and Sis. Jackie Headen. By 1993, church construction was completed at 336 Alston Bridge Rd. In this same year, Bishop Lockett stepped in and served for 6 years as the Senior Pastor and founded PDY, Positive Direction for Youth, a community outreach for at-risk youth in Siler City. As Emmanuel Fellowship began to grow, on November 30, 1999, Elder Charles Faison was installed as Senior Pastor and served for 5 years, until October 2004. Following his service, Elder Darius Martin, was appointed as Executive Pastor by Bishop Lockett and was later installed as Senior Pastor on March 12, 2006.  Emmanuel Fellowship is joined with the North Carolina 2nd Ecclesiastical Jurisdiciton in the Church of God in Christ, under Bishop C. Ellis Anderson, Sr.
